‘Behind the Scenes’ at Calala Cottage Museum is an opportunity to see how Tamworth Historical Society collects and preserves the vast array of objects that make up our many collections. These collections represent the memories, stories and history of the Tamworth region.
If you are curious at all, spend the morning at Calala Cottage Museum learning how the Society works to preserve our heritage. Numbers are limited, so please book either by email or telephone Museum and leave your details. Your booking will be confirmed. The cost of admission is a gold coin donation which includes morning tea.

Our second event during the Tamworth Heritage Festival is our popular Local History Walk. This year we meet in the carpark of the Country Music Hall of Fame and take a short walk to Paradise. Sounds ideal! We will hear from the Historical Society’s guides all about the history of the area around Paradise Bridge.
The morning continues up at the Lookout, where we will also enjoy morning tea.
