School Tours are immensely popular. Our volunteers take great pleasure and pride in undertaking the important role of educating school children about our local history. Please contact the Society to arrange.

One-teacher country school

The Beehive School was the original Moonbi Public School built in 1884.  It is a typical one-teacher country school and contains many interesting educational items used in the past. Society members who are retired school teachers gain great satisfaction from maintaining the school and giving visiting school groups 'old-fashioned' lessons.
